  • K-Tip extensions, also known as Keratin Bond Extensions, are a strand-by-strand method, meaning each individual extension is attached to small sections of your natural hair using a keratin-based bond. These bonds are heat-fusedto create a secure yet flexible attachment that moves naturally with your hair.

Because K-Tips are placed strand by strand, they allow for precise customization, ensuring the extensions blend seamlessly and feel lightweight—even on fine hair. This method offers long-lasting results (3-5 months) with no maintenance appointments, making it a great option for those looking for fullness, added length, or even targeted volume in finer areas like the hairline. Plus, since the keratin bond mimics the protein structure of your natural hair, the extensions are gentle and non-damaging when properly cared for.

  • Hidden Bead Extensions are a row-based extension method designed to add fullness and length while remaining comfortable and discreet. This technique involves placing small beads along a section of your natural hair to create a secure foundation, then sewing hand-tied or micro wefts onto the beaded base. The extensions are layered on both sides of the beads and stitched together, fully concealing them for a seamless, natural-looking result.

Because the beads are hidden between layers of hair, this method is virtually undetectable and allows for maximum flexibility and movement. Hidden Bead Extensions require maintenance every 6-9 weeks, during which the rows are carefully removed and reinstalled to maintain a healthy, secure placement. The hair itself is reusable for 6-12 months, making it a customizable and long-lasting option for those looking to enhance their fine hair with added fullness and soft, natural-looking length.

  • "Hand-tied extensions" is a term often used to describe a type of extension method, but in reality, hand-tied refers to a specific type of hair weft—not the method itself. A hand-tied weft is a thin, lightweight strip of hair that is manually sewn together, making it more flexible and natural-looking than thicker machine-tied wefts.

Hand-tied wefts are used within various beaded extension methods, where the extensions are secured to the natural hair using a beaded foundation before the wefts are sewn in. The method itself is what determines how the extensions are applied and maintained. For example, in my Hidden Bead Extension method, I use both hand-tied and micro weftsto create a seamless, discreet, and comfortable result.

While hand-tied wefts are great for fine hair because of their lightweight feel, it’s important to understand that the application method matters just as much as the type of weft used. When choosing extensions, it’s best to focus on the method that will work best for your hair type, lifestyle, and hair goals—not just the type of weft alone.

  • Both Hidden Bead extensions and K-Tip (Keratin Bond) extensions are excellent options, but the best choice depends on your lifestyle and hair goals.

Personally, K-Tip extensions are my favorite because of their versatility and customization. Each strand is individually bonded, allowing me to tailor the placement for your unique hair type, density, and desired look—making them suitable for nearly everyone. K-Tips offer a discreet, natural finish with long-lasting results, making them ideal for those wanting minimal maintenance between salon visits.

Hidden bead extensions, while also a great option, are better suited for clients who prefer a reusable method with routine maintenance and a focus on added length and volume.

During your consultation, we’ll explore both methods and find the perfect fit for your hair and lifestyle!

  • I recommend waiting at least 48 hours after your highlight service before washing your hair. Washing too soon can cause the color to fade faster or not set as well. For the best results and long-lasting color, give your hair a couple of days before its first wash and use my recommended shampoo and conditioner.

  • K-18 is a revolutionary hair treatment that helps repair damaged hair from the inside out. It strengthens and restores hair by reconnecting broken keratin chains, leaving it healthier, stronger, and more resilient. I include K-18 in every lightening service to ensure your hair stays in its best condition.

  • Seamlessly blended or lived-in color is all about creating a natural, soft grow-out that blends seamlessly with your hair. I use fine sectioning when coloring to avoid harsh lines, which helps your hair grow out without a noticeable root. Techniques like balayage—where I hand-paint the lightener onto the hair—allow the color to be blended from the start, creating a gradual, more natural look. Lived-in color often has a more "rooted" appearance, leaving more dimension at the scalp. I also use methods like root smudging, which blurs the color near the roots, so as your hair grows, it stays soft and blended, avoiding harsh regrowth lines.
